Meet Violet Ahenkorah
Founder of PHE - Link
Violet Ahenkorah is the Executive Director of the Population, Health and Environment Link (PHE-Link). She is a population and health social scientist committed to advancing healthy communities that thrive in a health-supportive environment. Her passion lies in delving into and researching environmentally mediated public health risks and diseases. Originally from Akim Achiase, Ghana, she is an alumna of Oda Secondary School and the University of Cape Coast.
Violet’s personal goal is to engage directly with vulnerable communities and broaden her knowledge on the population, health, and environment nexus and its implications for global health. Her professional goal is to create a lasting and measurable public health promotion impact by contributing to the development of interventions that mitigate public health risks and diseases posed by our environment.
She brings expertise in citizen science, teamwork, and community mobilization and engagement. In her spare time, Violet enjoys music.
